Recommended Dry Cleaners in Washington, DC

Had a pair of curtains that needed shortening quite a bit. I called all around D.C. and was quoted anywhere from $20-$30/each. These are not expensive curtains so I was disappointed, thinking I'd have to spend more on hemming than the curtains were actually worth. I went in and talked to the staff here on a whim as I live in the area, not even know they did tailoring/alterations and was delighted when she said $10/each. Although they do have to be shipped off to do alterations off-site, they were extremely nice throughout the process and when I picked them up in just a few days, they were perfect and pressed and cost me exactly what I was quoted. Wonderful experience. I'll be coming back for more alterations needs as well as dry cleaning.

I was on a 10-day trip with my family and stopped in DC for 2 days. I needed a place to drop off multiple pounds of regular laundry and have it washed/folded while I was about the city. I called Angie, who was extremely nice and friendly. I dropped off the laundry to her in the morning and was able to pick it all up perfectly cleaned and folded the next morning. A friendly, trustworthy, and well-functioning business! They have always treated my clothing with care and done a great job. I needed a pair of shoes cleaned on short notice and the gentlemen (owner perhaps) came in early in the morning to give them to me! I did not even request this. I asked how early I could pick them up the next day and she gave me the time; I found out later that he rushed there before his regular hours to be ready for me!

Helpful, efficient, and most of all, nice to interact with. I've taken shirts and suits there - all with excellent results. Also had pants hemmed. They did a great job.

Recently moved here from NYC/CT and used Georgetown Valet on recommendation from colleagues. This business is hands down the best dry cleaners I've ever used anywhere. Incredible level of professionalism, and the level of care they take with each and every piece of garment is as if it were their own. Superbly satisfied!

Very professional and friendly staff. Will have your items on time when you need them and are not overly price. They also do stitching and will fix buttons or rips in your clothes for a good price. There store doubles as a UPS drop off location if you need to mail any items

Red Valet is hands down the best dry cleaner and tailor in DC, and this is coming from someone who has lived in DC for over 15 years and tried dozens of cleaners and tailors! They do excellent work and are a lovely family. I always knew my clothes were in amazing hands.
