  Universal Cycles is my go to bike shop in the city because of their great in-stock selection of thousands of parts and accessories, from exotic to mundane. They've also built me a couple of sets of wheels over the years and I'm still riding them - they do great work!

  Universal Cycles is a great website and local shop for a multitude of parts that are all resonably priced a most likely cheaper than anywhere else you may look! Check them out, they are awesome!

  Doesn't get more local than this. This shop has been in Portland nearly 20 years and is the best place for parts, bikes, and advice.

  The best bike shop in Portland. A family business the owner has an adorable five year old daughter and rides all over the area on the weekends.

  I have 2 vacation rentals and rent out my 2 fat tire bikes. I noticed tonight at 6:30 when I was checking them over because I have renters who wanted it the next day, that I had a flat. I raced over to Universal Cycles with 20 minutes left before they closed. They immediately changed out the tube, helped me fit a new mirror into the handlebars and I was out by 7:05. Great customer service, friendly staff. Some of the guys have a bit of a grumpy demeanor, but really are sweethearts. Sorry that guy who had trouble with his large bike had so much trouble.

  I made an online order with Universal Cycles late on a Saturday night and made a mistake that needed to be fixed before the order shipped that upcoming Monday. Universal Cycles offers a customer service number to text or call....So on a Sunday night I was able to personally commuicate with Mike at Universal Cycles and remedy the mistake I made with my order. I cannot say enough about the outstanding customer service offered to me. Universal Cycles not only offers the best online prices, they also offer the best customer service I have yet to see from any online retail shop.
  I will be shopping here again, and I will be recommending Universal Cycles to every cyclist I know.
