My experience with School Yoga Institute and my 200hr YTT in Peru was truly incredible and once in a lifetime. From the very start I found that the admin at SYI was so responsive to any and all questions that I had. They go above and beyond and you feel as though you are being looked after so well. By the end of my email exchanges with Keri I felt like I was in amazing hands- and like family. The location of the my particular training at Sacha Munay set the stage for healing, learning, growth and transformation. The food, staff, facilities, accommodations, and beautifully maintained garden environment was next level. Nothing would have been possible without the SYI facilitators- Anita, Leslie, and Raquel. These three ladies have a remarkable talent for teaching and a true passion for Yoga as a philosophy and way of life. They truly practice what they preach which is so refreshing. We learned an insane amount of information about the history, linage, philosophies, and inner workings of Yoga as a practice. SYI also offers the unique and incredible opportunity to learn about the ancient cultures of their sacred locations. We learned about plant medicines, ceremonies, and traditions of the indigenous cultures of Peru. Over all I feel like I was adequately prepared to start teaching asana, meditation, and pranayama practice right away. I have come away with SO much from this, including a new tribe which is so tight knit and supportive we continue to talk via our massive whatsapp chat :) . Some things are just priceless. Im so grateful and humbled by this entire experience and I truly wish everyone could experience something like it. read more
