Tim is awesome. I would almost rather get a root canal than do my taxes but Tim makes it as painless as it can be. He's always friendly and accommodating, and he knows his stuff! Highly recommend.

I had been doing my taxes the DIY Turbo Tax way for years, despite feeling like I had probably screwed something up or was upsold on a package I really didn't need. There were also the few occasions before the DIY craze where I hopped into one of the gazillion pop-up corporate chain H&R Block stores where I met with some inexperienced, newly licensed CPA to prevent myself from missing the tax deadline. When I moved to Austin, I decided to find an independent CPA for the first tax season. Life was hectic enough and I and didn't feel like dealing with having to report on income from 2 states. I had also bought a house that year (a first for me), along with a couple other tax impacting events, and wanted to make sure I was maximizing my return. I liked the thought of supporting a small, local business, despite my history with tax season, so I checked some reviews online and came across Tim Hald. I was instantly sold, and from that point on I vowed to never be seduced by the "cheap" DIY online tax solutions or "convenient", impersonal corporate pop-up stores again...

I have been going to Tim for 3 years now and he has really turned my tax situation around. With a few adjustments and proper tax planning, I have gone from owing thousands at the end of the year to getting thousands at the end of the year. Most years I work in 8-10 states and I have a very complicated return. An average CPA would charge an arm and a leg to file a complicated, multi-state return, but Tim charges just the flat rate. Tim skillfully handles my return like a tax pro!
