My appointment was at 530. I got there at 520, and was completely finished by 540. Dr. Azfar was fantastic. I expected to only have a consultation since I was a new patient, but she went to work right away removing my Milia (bumps of buildup on my eyelid, different than pimples or blackheads). She took great care to minimalize my discomfort (when you're getting mini cysts removed from your eyelid, it's not going to be pain free). She also discussed with me what to use around my eyes to prevent future Milia, and she gave me some free samples to try. She also noticed all my freckles and strongly advised me to come back for a skin screening, which I will absolutely do. Overall, she was thorough, quick, and had a great demeanor. Highly recommend her.

The BEST dermatologist I've ever ever had! Dr. Akhavan (female) is literally the sweetest, happiest and most accommodating Dr. She healed my acne (which was horrible) AND I now receive compliments on my skin which I never thought would be a reality for me! Beautiful office, great staff! Thank you !!! <3

You can trust the star values at this office. I felt welcomed by the staff in the beautiful office. I had a hydrafacial which was recommended after I had come in for the oxygen facial. Jessica was so personable and careful with my skin and the follow up email was phenomenal. Everyone that handles your skin should be so attentive. I would like to come back! Thankyou for taking good care of me.

Dr. Alaleh Akhavan is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend her. I saw another dermatologist at a different practice and he had misdiagnosed my skin issue and made it much worse. I came to Dr. Akhavan to get a second opinion (looking scary as the rash on my face had more than doubled as a result of the misdiagnosis and incorrect prescription meds) and she not only diagnosed me correctly right away, but was able to prescribe the correct meds and my skin was back to normal within days. She genuinely cares, listens to you, spends adequate time to answer all questions and is just a great doctor. Best dermatologist I've ever seen!

I would highly recommend coming here for your skincare needs. Dr. Alaleh Akhavan is amazing and really cares about her patients. I had an unforeseen rash and a wedding just a few days away, Dr. Akhavan put me on a regimen that she was sure would work and it really did. Many times I have visited derms and it's been a guessing game of what might work and playing around with my skin, if I wanted that I could go to a drugstore or Sephora and test out different products myself.

Dr. Akhavan was certain, very clear in explaining everything, and gave me all of her samples of two of the topical medications because they normally take weeks to come in, are not medications you can typically pick up at your local CVS or Duane Reade. ...
