  ... Blonde isn't easy and either am I. Kylene exceeded my expectations... her techniques were perfect and her client services was spot on! So much so that even though everything was SO perfect after the 1st appointment she graciously said let's connect in a couple days and I might want to put a toner on it! We decided to do it and to my surprise this was her gift to me! As a new client that level of service was unexpected but will certainly keep me coming back. I am now sticking with the compound!!!

  After moving to LA, I was desperately searching for a replacement for the salon and hair stylist I left behind in Pittsburgh. I spent about a year having zero luck. After moving over to Culver City from Koreatown, I came across The Compound Salon on a walk around the neighborhood and decided to give it a try. I was connected with Allison on my first visit and she's been doing my hair every since. I'm constantly changing my hair color and Allison is always there to listen to what I want and give me the reality check when I need it. She has amazing skills and I walk out every time feeling amazing.

  I had an awesome experience with Allison this weekend! I'm new to LA and was feeling the frustration of finding a new salon. To add to the stress, I am particular about my curly hair and always worry about my hair getting cut too short. Upon arrival, Allison asked thorough questions about how I usually styled my hair, what my expectations were, and made sure we were on the same page. She really took time to listen to me. She took her time on my cut and I did not feel like I was being rushed out of the chair. The cut looks great! I am really pleased with the way it came out and have total confidence that I will be returning to her! Highly recommend Allison, she is sweet, genuine, and truly talented! Thanks Allison!

  Dena, the co-owner has been my colorist/stylist for about 4 years now and I couldn't be more contented with her services. She's cheerful and her recommendations are always spot-on. Whenever my hairdo needs a "lift" with some highlights on the crown, low-lights to add a bit of depth, or just a trim or some glossing, she does a fantastic job and I have never walk out of the shop without feeling happy with my "younger" look. The B& B product selection is nice also, and she's generous with samples/trial products.

  Allison managed to see me for a same day appointment. She was fabulous! She very carefully went over my options for color and even figured up the price for each one before asking me to pick. She actually listened to me! She understood that when I said I rarely styled my hair, I meant it. The cut and color are just what I wanted. I couldn't be happier with the service from the entire staff!
