Skirack

Bike Shop

Skirack first opened its doors in 1969 just a few blocks from its present location at the corner of Main and Pine streets in downtown Burlington, Vermont. Over the years, we have undergone many changes and all with one goal in mind - to provide the finest outdoor goods and services.

For a few years, we operated two stores on the lower Main street. Skirack was our home for all things self-propelled - bikes, cross country skis, snowshoes, inline skates, running shoes, kayaks, and the clothing and accessories for it all. The Downhill Edge housed our gravity division - downhill skis and snowboards. Now its all under one roof. Read more

I have been fit for 2 pairs of boots with Ryan at Skirack, and as a pro fitter and Powder magazine correspondent, I wouldn't get my feet fit into boots by anyone else. The selection is strong, and the knowledgeable and friendly staff really know their way around their equipment, and trust in the quality of what they sell.

I have bought several bikes from here.

Most other places I have visited looking at bikes, I have felt pressure to buy a bike that day and if I wasn't about to buy a bike that, people gave up helping me/talking to me. Really? To normal people dropping a few thousand bucks is a very large purchase.

... This is why Skirack is my LBS.

Top-notch service, great selection of brands, and friendly staff. They aren't going to sell you something that you don't need.

I love the customer service here as they are always willing to go the extra mile to help you. In addition. the store has high quality outdoor gear and shoes and is my go-to place when needing help. I've bought bikes, skis, sneakers, insoles, and clothes and always find what I'm looking for.

I called in because I was having some pain with a new pair of Kayno 22s. I have been running in Kayano's for almost 5 years with no problems. Laura took my call and we had a valuable conversation around possible reasons and next-steps for me to take. I mentioned, early in the call, that I didn't buy the shoes from the Ski Rack, and she still continued to treat me as a valued customer. Thank you!
