Great day climbing today. Our guide Tom was absolutely awesome. Seriously, he really made it a great day for the kids. He took the time to teach them and encouraged them. Seneca Rocks is a beautiful area to climb. We can't wait to come back. Top notch facility with top notch guides. And such history this school has! Be sure to ask about that.

This was my first time climbing outdoors after a year or so of indoor gyms. Seneca Rocks Climbing School set a very high bar for climbing with a guide. Everyone was friendly in the shop, and my guide, Arthur, is the best you can get!

had an incredible time reaching the summit with my guide, Andrew. As a climbing novice with a severe fear of heights, I was very hesitant to try trad climbing. Andrew eased me into the day with top rope climbing and practicing repelling. He also answered my 1000s of questions. His knowledge and patience put me at relative ease.

... I highly recommend the climbing school to beginners, families and kids. If they can lead me to the summit, then they can lead any able-bodied person. Judging by the other groups we encountered, it seems great for all levels and all the guides seemed cool. ... -

Like many sport-to-trad climbers before me, I once thought "I've been climbing 4 years and I know knots! Throw cams in, how hard can it be?" After investing in a poorly assembled rack I was ready to... thrutch my way up single pitch leads in terror. The voices in the back of my head could not be silenced, "Will my placement hold? Should I extend this piece? I hope I protected my second well enough."

... I'm happy to recommend Seneca Rocks Climbing School and Daniel Brothers to anyone like me, an experienced gym/sport person looking to make the jump into trad. They have my vote for the most likely crew to turn you from a Red River Gorge crag baby into rock-solid trad daddy.
