Room to Breathe is a warm and welcoming yoga studio, open to students of all experience levels and all abilities. Their classes focus more on the relaxation and mindfulness aspects of yoga, the tools that can help us connect deeply with ourselves and others to propel us forward. I love this studio (!) and highly recommend it to anyone who's always been interested in learning more about yoga but hasn't gotten around to trying it, those who are more experienced but craving a richer experience that delves beyond the physical aspects of yoga, and especially anyone out there with chronic pain--physical or mental. ...

I LOVE this studio! I'd tried other yoga studios but I was really looking for a place that focused on the mindfulness aspect of yoga and boy what a treat this has been. The teachers are very welcoming and the other students are as well.

I attend the Yoga Nidra classes which incorporate guided meditation and that has been a game changer for me. I sleep better now. My anxiety has gone away. I've learned about setting an intention (sankalpa) at the beginning of each class and so many of my intentions have come to fruition. It's almost like magic! Coming to class here is by far one of my favorite weekly activities. I highly recommend this studio.

I like coming to yoga at Room to Breathe for several reasons. One, it's close to my office in the Loop, so I can easily go to a 5:45 class after work. It's cheaper than any other yoga class I've found at $15 for a drop in class. The teachers have all been very friendly, and my classes have been super small (one was 5 people, one was two!). They definitely focus a lot more on breathing and the mindfulness aspect of yoga, so if you're looking for a sweaty workout, this ain't it. However, if you do want to relax and do some nice stretching, this is the place to do it!
