  I've used Mission Bay Automotive 4-5 times during the last six years and am always impressed! They’re the only place I go for repair work. Here are some of the reasons:
  
  - The staff is polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. They are patient and helpful explaining the issue and repair process to someone who knows nothing about cars.
  - They’re transparent about their pricing and the pricing is fair. Several times they didn’t even charge me for a quick little fix, like removing a rattling scrap of metal from the underside of my car.
  - They complete work when promised and stay in communication with me regarding their progress

  They say there's no such thing as cheap/fast/quality. That said MBA has always been extremely fair on price (exactly half of Mercedes dealership), the work is done fast, workmanship is right the first time, and to top it all off they followed up to make sure I was happy. There secret is simple: do solid work and treat everyone well. It's a awesome feeling completely trusting my mechanic, and it's the only place I'll take my van.

  So today we loaded up the car....wife, two kids, beach toys, snacks etc....headed to the beach to enjoy our last day of vacation before driving home to Phoenix and the 115' temps. And what happens? The A/C in the car goes out! I called 6 repair shops in the area and no one would help. The I called Mission Bay Automotive. ... Troy Archer didn't have to do that. He doesn't know me and knows I don't live here. Most shops would overcharge you and "repair" unneeded things. Not this place. I am so amazed by their customer service. Other shops said they could fix it in a week for several hundred dollars. They did it in two hours for a really reasonable price. Thank you Troy and your team. If I or any of my friends are ever in San Diego and have car problems, I know where I am going!

  I live in Tucson AZ and was recently vacationing in San Diego. On our way to San Diego our check engine light came on and the car definitely didn't feel right. I yelped nearby mechanics and Mission Bay Automotive came up with plenty of reviews and 5 stars, which is really impressive for this type of industry. I called to ask questions since our car has an extended warranty and they were very informative explaining the process of the warranty. ... They immediately began the repair and were able to fix it within a few hours, getting our car back to us that same afternoon. We were extremely relieved and incredibly happy with Hector and Mission Bay Automotive's responsiveness and helpfulness. They were extremely friendly and informative through the whole process. We highly recommend Mission Bay Automotive, it was clear to see why they have 5 star reviews.

  Absolutely amazing! I can not begin to tell you how wonderful Mission Bay Automotive is. (Long story short my boyfriend left me his car.) First, they fixed a CEL light in my that had been on for several months. ... Second, my car battery died on me on the freeway, and once again they were able to help me right away. Once again, my car was good as new same day. Lastly, I called and asked if they would be able to replace some tires I ordered. They were more than willing and happy to do so. Hector and all of the other employees here are awesome! If you're looking for an autoshop, this is your place! They certainly have my business for any of my automotive needs. You will not be disappointed. : )
