Mia Ferrer, LMT

Massage Therapist

I began my practice in 2003. Since then I have become certified in several modalities. I have been practicing independently, with Chiropractors and in spa environments that have earned awards from Big D Magazine for Best Spa year after year. I've used skills throughout my practice create a customized treatment for each individual. I prefer working as an independent practitioner because this allows more creative freedom to tailor a clients session time to their individual needs.

My Philosophy:

We all can benefit from massage therapy and every individual is different and needs specialized care. Massage and Bodywork can be helpful for our physical and emotional well-being and should be accessible to everyone. Read more

As someone who has difficulty trusting others with my body I was worried about being massaged; it seemed too vulnerable. But, I can say wholeheartedly that Mia makes me feel like for that hour I have a safe space to just relax and unwind with no need to keep my guard up. This is a testament to her presence as a healer and a professional. Mia is so caring, attentive, and knowledgeable in her massage practice. I often can't even articulate my own aches and pains but she finds them and she provides relief. She is great.

... This bed had a temperature control so it was warm and cozy. Just perfect.

Mia was absolutely awesome and focused on the right spots without me even having to tell her. I went in thinking my neck and shoulders were tight but my legs were the worst. She worked her magic on my legs and they've never felt better. She applied the right amount of pressure and did everything right. She has healing hands and I will be coming back.

Oh my gosh! Not only is Mia an amazing massage therapist, she is one of the coolest people I've ever met. She welcomes anyone and everyone - truly. You will want to come back again and again! I've been seeing her for about 6 months. I broke my back while working as a paramedic and had a spinal fusion this past January (2016). Mia has done wonders for me and she helps so much with the nerve pain in my lower back and hips. She's a Godsend!

Mia is an amazingly gifted massage therapist! I found her through Groupon and am so glad I did. She has an uncanny ability to find and address your trouble spots and I always feel 100 percent better after seeing her. Today I tried "cupping" for the first time (think Micheal Phelps in the last Olympics) and, although I have a few circular marks that look like alien crop circles on my shoulders and back, the process was painless and my torn rotator cuff feels quite a bit better! If you're looking for an outstanding massage therapist you can't do better than Mia!!!

... But I found Mia to be extremely knowledgeable about what I could do after my massage (by way of stretches and exercises) to help with my issues. It was easy to make an appointment thanks to her handy online scheduling system (I LOVE those). ...

Now on to her technique, she has the perfect touch. I badly needed a therapeutic massage and not a relaxation one, so the pressure she applied was just right for me. I left feeling as if I'd been worked on and was even slightly sore the next day, which is a dead giveaway that she put in the work I'd needed. I definitely recommend her to anyone without hesitation.
