Le Couturier House of Alterations began on Newbury St in Boston in 2003. Where the business provided tailoring services for such specialty stores as Christian Dior, Loro Piana, Gucci, and Ermenegildo Zegna.
In 2008 Le Couturier received the "Best of Boston award from Boston Magazine. Le Couturier also moved to its current location in Central Sq in 2008 and has been servicing the people of Central Square exclusively since then. Read more

Had a long coat altered. Rates were reasonable. Job was done to perfection. He also fixed a hole and I still cant find evidence of it ever having a hole in that spot. I'm so pleased and impressed and glad they're just a 15 min walk away.

Have patience with David and don't miss understand him. He's brilliant with his craft - so it's your responsibility to ask questions if something is not clear and to call and check in to see if your item is ready. -

Excellent service and work. Suit wasn't initially ready when I went to pickup, but he had it ready the next day. Perhaps a bit pricey compared to others in area, but for quality received, worth it in my opinion.

I just picked up my dress from here and wow! I had no expectations as I didn't think I'd ever be able to wear my my two-sizes-too-small fitted bodice dress again. They even made the embroidery look continuous around the bodice. I'll be back with my other tailor needs.

I had a vintage dress I need altered in two weeks. ... My dress was especially tricky because it was silk and vintage at that, and with no give in the seam for expansion.
I took this dress to three seamstresses before Le Couturier. All of them said they could not do it. There was not enough material and even if there were, any resewing would expose holes in the fabric.
... I got the dress within a week and a half, a great turnaround for a huge process. Thank you to the whole team at Le Couturier! You saved me! -

... Over the course of the next few weeks and several fittings Dick took down the work of the previous tailor, repinned the dress, basted it, and finally created a completely stunning wedding dress. He workmanship was excellent and he was attuned to small details about the dress I would never even have noticed. He was so accommodating with appointments and working around my hectic schedule. I cannot recommend highly enough.
