Nice denim selection and quality clothing that far exceeds its small size. Stop in every chance I get even if it is just to see what's new. I have never felt pressured and feel comfortable asking questions, knowing I will get an honest and knowledgeable answer.

My husband and I love this place! They do awesome jean tapering, make great repairs on ripped jeans, and are generally just awesome.

Now that I've spent my first year in Seattle, deciphering its weather patterns, I finally decided to invest in a high performance, water resistant coat. It's been 10 years since I bought a long term winter coat so I upped my budget to a level I don't normally do for clothing. I searched everywhere for the right blend of details that I wanted (seamlines, padding, lining, pockets, extra long arms, material, etc) but nothing got close to fitting just 75% of my criteria. Anyway, Kuhlman is a fantastic little store that have done a few repairs for me. The staff is always helpful and their products usually make me think about purchasing. So a couple of months ago I walked in to inquire about making a custom coat. Scott went to the trouble of outlining the process and what was and wasn't possible. Finally he recommended the Elimeno coat from NAU and wow!! It had everything I was looking for: durable zippered front pockets, dual front zip, 2 inside pockets, water resistant, slim fit, and strong enough to wear my chrome bag over the shoulders. It was even designed to be bikeable wear and it doesn't look bright or sporty! It's classically minimal and functional urbanwear. Anyway, Scott did some final alterations: put a top collar in and tailored the sides and it's been worth every penny. I was treated with patience despite all my crazy notions of tweaking every little detail of the design. Awesome shop!
