Just started taking lessons with Eric today, so far so good :) My hopes with these lessons are to have a firm grasp of the theory behind what I've learned to play by ear.

Taking lessons with Eric has been a great experience. Not only have they improved my playing, but the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and parking is a piece of cake. I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of theory, how to play over chord changes, and how to better visualize the fretboard. ... Eric is a dynamite guitar teacher. After prior teachers took me down technical wormholes that were often not relevant to my goals, Eric quickly honed in on what I wanted out of these lessons to become a better player. ... he is able to simplify the path for the student. I would highly recommend Eric's studio for any level guitar player. He teaches you how to 'see' the scales and arpeggios in ways that make them come to life in music. I have taken lessons before and never got 1/10th of what I have learned from Eric. Very relaxed atmosphere and a great place to talk about and experience jazz and blues in all their forms.
