Had a really vexing problem about a year ago with the yellow "car needs service" light going on every time I backed up on my 2004 Chevy Cavalier. (This is a common problem on a lot of Cavaliers.) Those guys ran some tests and found the problem and the service engine light does not go on anymore and the charges were reasonable and fair. That's comforting to know because auto dealerships try to sell you a car every time you take the one you like into the shop. This, on the other hand, is pretty much like having a brother or uncle who can service your car and you can be sure they are not going to rip you off. Great for me because I use my Cavalier to putz around the Northeast and want to get it from 138,000 to 200,000 before I purchase I new car.

Untrustworthy Mechanics? Not a problem at John's Auto Repair. I have visited due to an exhaust leak and could say John's is the most honest auto shop I have been to. He was straight forward in his expertise and checked my car with no charge to direct me to another shop that would be cheaper and better for me. Joe showed me all the things wrong with the car and ended up saving me a lot of money and time. Definitely the place to go for auto repairs!

One star for John's? Unlike certain reviews, mine is a real one from a real customer. Not only has John's always treated me kindly, but all of my several friends and neighbors who have dealt with John's also love them. The one star review might be from a competitor; I don't believe a word of it.

This place is the best. Reasonable prices, great work. They give suggestions for saving money and the quality of work is excellent. John and Joe and his staff are all truly very professional, fair and kind. Bottom line: they do the job right! I recommend that you check this place out if you're looking for an auto body shop to work on your vehicle. Would definitely recommend them.
