If there's a better choice for an optometrist, I don't know what it would be. Dr. Gartner gives great attention to my small problems. When I leave, I'm quite sure that they have been well addressed. He's fun to be with, and has earned my continuing business and recommendations. The office is convenient to La Jolla Colony, and I get seen pretty quickly. Big bonus: Saturday hours ... very important for working professionals.

Dr. Gartner and Galstein have been my optometrists for over 20 years. Been with them since the days they had an office in Pacific Beach, and have followed them to University City despite the fact that I moved away from the beach areas long ago.

Excellent staff, clean office, well organized and have a good selection of frames. They even fixed my prescription glasses for no charge despite my best efforts to destroy them. Unless I move out of the county, I cannot see any reason why I'd go elsewhere. -

After several years of continuing to see Dr Gartner, and after many interactions with their staff, I can still say this place is the best! I always feel well taken care of, everything is explained throughly, and the staff is wonderful. It only takes a few days for me to get my contacts once ordered which is insane since at the last place I went to it often would take more than a couple weeks. I can't recommend Dr Gartner enough!

I've seen both Drs Galstian and Gartner and absolutely love, love, love their services. I've not ever gone to another optometrist nor do I want to go. I know a good thing when I see it! They came HIGHLY recommended and I myself feel the same exact way. Beware that you will ONLY experience "Top Notch" service with either doctor and their entire staff. You are taken in promptly and treated with great respect, service, and a very warm and welcoming attitude. I've recommended them to family, friends and co-workers. Look no further peep's these guys are the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
