I began to cut out foods with excessive sodium in them. Eventually, I saw an episode of Dr. Oz featuring Dr. Fuhrman. He talked about the G-BOMBS foods (greens, beans, onions, mushrooms, berries and seeds). Ever since then I've been consuming these foods daily.
I ended up losing at least 150 pounds, the majority of which was during the first year. I researched different foods that helped bring down blood pressure and started to eat those foods. It was with Dr. Fuhrman's advice, along with research that got me to lose the weight.

Although I have some modifications, I consider myself a Nutritarian. I have eggs a few times a week and minimal turkey (not every day). I feel like I have a ton of energy eating the G-BOMBS and feel healthier than when I was in my twenties.

That day I decided to no longer be a slave to medicine and poor health. I read all the diabetic literature the doctor gave me and knew right away it was a bunch of nonsense. I began doing my own research, which eventually led to Dr.Fuhrman. So far I have lost 200 pounds and am still losing. My cholesterol is normal, my blood pressure is perfect (low according to my doctor), My HA1C is under five and I have no signs of diabetes. I threw away all four of my highly toxic arthritis medicines, and now only need to take the occasional over-the-counter Ibuprofen. My allergies seem to have all but disappeared so that I am only bothered for a week or two out of the year. I sold my motorized wheelchair, and now have a full time job standing on my feet doing manual labor.

Dr. Fuhrman and my new cardiologist helped me to save my life. I am forever grateful to both of them. But in the end, it required me to make a complete change in my lifestyle.

Because I want to live a full and happy life, I am dedicated to maintaining my health. It requires me to be personally accountable and totally consistent in my behavior every single day, without exception. I control my destiny. I’m now focused on maximizing my health and longevity, being with my family and friends, having fun, and sharing what I’ve learned to help those who really want to dramatically improve their health by permanently changing their lifestyle.

I am thoroughly enjoying this extremely healthy lifestyle, and am proud to be a positive role model for my sons. Being able to keep up with them today, and knowing that I will continue to be an active part of their lives for years to come, makes me realize that becoming healthy is the most important thing I have done for myself, and my family.

I lost 76 pounds and now weigh 125 pounds. I don't ever feel deprived. I make green smoothies at least twice a day and even my kids drink them. Since following the Nutritarian lifestyle I have not only lost the weight, but, more importantly, I feel fantastic.
