Rob Williams completed his doctoral degree in chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO., post-graduate study and certification in acupuncture from Logan University in St. Louis, MO and his Bachelors degree in Psychology from University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Dr. williams has been very intentional about the design of his practice, doing many things to attract people who are seeking a high quality healthcare experience that is streamlined and highly effective. Cost is more per treatment, but our patients come out ahead because we get great results without having to see you as many times.

To Dr. Rob, a patient's set of symptoms is their bodies way of telling him what's wrong. His job is to listen. He begins by listening to the story his patient tells him. The history part of his examination, typically, is very telling, but it's when he puts his hands on the patient that he can tell what's not working the way it was intended to.

Years of working with clay on a daily basis helped him fine tune the connection between his finger tips and brain, which he credits for his intuitive palpation skills. The combination of Dr. Williams’ sensory skills he developed as a studio potter, his experience in the field of psychology, and his doctoral study of the human body provides him with a unique skill set to help people. I first went to Dr. Rob out of desperation. ...

I had an immediate diminution of pain, and he went on to give me acupuncture, which reduced it further. ... I really love that about Dr. Rob - he doesn't just "work on me" - doctor on patient - he partners with me to improve my overall well-being.

As it happens, I do need surgical repair as well, but I'll be going into surgery relaxed and nearly pain-free. ...

... Dr. Rob took the time to listen to all of my neck issues. After the first treatment (an acute pain visit with my third neck spasm within 2 months)...I was able to heal from the spasm within 3 days (normally takes 7-9). He also gave me some much needed education about what I was doing to make my neck worse. He helped me understand a forever solution to my pain problems, and I've been a regular patient ever since. Going on 5 years now!

Last October I had the acupuncture staple put in for appetite suppression and I loved it. It was fairly painless to have inserted and removed, less painful than having your ears pierced. Halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas are hard times when it comes to controlling cravings. I felt like I had control and was not interested in the usual junk food associated with those holidays. The staple reminded me to make better choices. I lost five pounds during that time. Normally I would have gained more than that. I would suggest giving it a try. I would try it again.

... Thanks to Dr. Rob, I am now aware of my own unconscious response to stress that causes the condition. Thankfully, adjustments at IHC along with acupuncture, massage and a diligent effort on my part to BREATHE and RELAX have led me to a new normal. I no longer wake up each morning in pain and I can walk around normally instead of constantly having sore shoulders. Thank you, Dr. Rob and Mercedes, for being part of my healing journey. And now, my ongoing once-monthly maintenance is a genuine treat! ...
