I got into guitar because my wife Phyllis is a drummer and her teacher recommended, Adam. I told him I wanted to learn funk and classic jazz from New Orleans, often a vacation place for Phyllis and I, and we’ve worked on everything from basic blues to now I’m working some James Brown. He helped direct me to getting a electric first because it could be setup to make it easier to play and learn faster on the instrument, and he helped show me figure out the right guitar for me. He’s been excellent since the beginning, a true professional.

Adam has helped me strengthen my weaknesses in band leadership and has helped me transfer so much of the knowledge I knew of theory on piano to guitar and apply it. Excellent Teacher.

Adam is a excellent teacher! I have been wanting to play guitar since I was 15, finally got my chance at 26 lol. Anyways, I have been taking lessons from him since I left Guitar Center instruction back in march because of a lack of attention to detail to my actual improvement as a player, and simply put I couldn't be happier with my choice. He is the perfect teacher for me.

I had plateaued in my playing, so I looked for an instructor to push me along and happened to come across Adam. I couldn’t have been more lucky. On top of his great teaching he’s a great guy too, and although I don’t live in Dallas anymore he still keeps up with me.
Stop looking cause this is your guy. -

I've been playing the guitar and taking lessons for over 15 years. The past 2 years with Adam has advanced my playing abilities more than the previous 13 years combined. Adam has the unique gift of teaching to all levels of students in a manner that is both understandable and fun. I would highly recommend Adam to anyone that is serious about learning or improving their guitar skills!

Whether you’re looking to shred like Yngwie, pick a tele like Vince Gill, jam like Jerry Garcia, or a little bit of it all, Adam is your guy! His style and enthusiasm keep my 7 year old excited to learn, and his knowledge and skill are deep and broad enough to teach this old dog some new tricks.

Before Adam, I was but a shabby guitar player; after Adam I now can shred all of the riffs I come across! On a serious note, Adam was instrumental in my ability not only to play guitar through his exercises, but also to better understand how music works. His lessons on concepts like inversions and rhythm have been an immense help for my understanding of music theory. It was a joy for me to have explored the topics of music theory with such an amazing teacher, one who is not only great at explaining but is also easy to talk to!

First started with taking lessons with Adam about two years ago, when I decided I had the time to finally learn guitar. I was familiar before a bit on the workings of the instrument but definitely wanted a teacher this time. Well, needless to say, I was blown away, by just how versatile the guitar could be and do. Once we began our lessons and how detailed he would go into certain specifics about guitar or music in general, it just sparked my passion further! I take lessons 2-3x a week and we just dive into any and everything I come across and learn how it all works and that’s so much fun. As a result, I listen to music completely differently now and it’s awesome! As a teacher, Adam is very patient, diligent, charismatic and genuine.

Adam is super helpful at teaching you on your own pace and letting you pick out songs that are interesting to you. I have noticed a lot of improvement in only 4 weeks working with Adam in my music knowledge and guitar playing ability.

I have been playing guitar for many years but recently started lessons with Adam a couple of months ago. Although I am proficient with all kinds of rock and blues, I really wanted to break out of the trap of basic 1-4-5 progressions and soloing in limited pentatonic shapes. Already in a relatively short period of time, I have a vastly improved my understanding of theory, scales, and modes and my playing is really showing it! Adam is a great player with a deep knowledge of music and has been instrumental in helping me take my playing to the next level. Thanks!

Starting to play in my late 30's with no prior experience and Adam was able to help me play full songs in less than 8 sessions. He taught me how to dissect songs I wanted to play into smaller manageable segments. I now know all the open chords and most of the notes on the fret board. Adam also focused on proper posture and playing technique so that I don't develop bad habits that would hurt my lower back. There is so much value for the lessons that Adam provides. Will be back once I get an electric guitar.

Adam is awesome. He puts in the time and effort with each individual student to unlock all potential. Every guitar lesson I feel like I’m improving and Adam is always pushing me to do things I never thought possible. I would 10/10 recommend Adam to anybody looking to get better at guitar. I thought I was a decent guitar player before I started lessons but now I know I have so much to learn and gain, and I wouldn’t rather learn from anybody else.

Adam Frost will quickly understand and assess the limitations and potential you have as a guitarist. He is patient, kind, and quick on his feet. As he analyzes your technique and posture, he develops a course of action to effectively and efficiently aid the problem areas while maintaining positive reinforcement to what is done correctly. Although still a ways off peak performance, I feel the investment in Adam is by far worth it, with outstanding results.
