Miguel repaired some antique frames of mine beautifully. One was more deeply damaged than anticipated, so Miguel came back the next day to finish the job. I appreciate him coming to my studio so I wouldn't have to move the frames. I often use antiques in my artwork and I am glad to know that a craftsman with Miguel's skill level is close by, I will definitely contact him again for more projects.

Miguel is an absolute perfectionist! I hired him to refinish the original handrail in our 1935 home, which was badly worn with moderate damage. I couldn't believe my eyes when he was finished. The rail and newel posts looked brand new!
Besides his obvious craftsmanship, Miguel is a very kind person. He was pleasant, trustworthy (we left him alone in our house for hours) and professional.

I highly recommend Heartwood to anyone looking for any type of wood refinishing. You won't be disappointed!

Miguel's work is beautiful! He repaired glass doors for my antique book case from the early 1900s and a Victorian oak decanter set. The bookcase needed new glass and to repair the doors. He found two great pieces of glass for the doors. The decanter set was missing some of the decorative brass, was warped on the bottom, and the drawer at the bottom would not stay latched with a spring mechanism. Miguel addressed all of the problems and restored a great piece. On top of all of his great work, Miguel quoted me a great price and completed all the work on the timeline that we discussed. I could not be happier and will definitely take future pieces to him for restoration.

I hired Heartwood Restoration (Miguel) to re size and refinish a dining room table. We loved the look of our existing table set but were unhappy with the size of it for our dining area and the finish. Miguel showed up on time and was very professional. He gave me several options about the new dimensions. a few weeks later he returned with the finished product and it was exactly what I wanted. The table looks Amazing! The finish is better than anything I have seen in a store and I am very impressed with the cuts and routing of the wood. I would highly recommend Heartwood Restoration.

... Needless to say he constructed up a new handle by eye (in looking at the other one that was still attached to the tray) and it looks better than the other original one that came with the tray!!!!
Now I'm wishing both handles would have broke off :).
His workmanship is meticulous, perfect & very well done. You can tell he takes pride in his work.
I give Heartwood Restorations 10 STARS even though the ratings are only 5 :) JOB WELL DONE!!!
