I am very thankful to Granite Bay Speech and it's director/owner Nancy Barcal! She has generously provided free information to me that has helped me to help my children's speech and emotional development. She told me about all options for care including the school district as well as other clinics. I can tell that she cares more about families and great care than she does about profit. This is truly her passion. Her advice has helped me to create structure to improve behavior and increase my children's language skills. Nancy's joy for children and appropriately addressing their needs is a breath of fresh air. I recommend you call Nancy and her team at Granite Bay Speach if you ever need advice on parenting or child development.

Granite Bay has literally saved my life. Through the hardest stages in my life, Nancy has been there. Her willingness to help those who stutter has been a blessing to those of us with speech pathologies. I will forever be indebted to Nancy and Granite Bay Speech for being there when I most needed it. I will forever appreciate her kindness and knowledge of stuttering and for being there.

When we first brought our 2 year old daughter to Granite Bay Speech, she was using mainly 1-2 word combinations and leaving off the final consonants on most of those words. She just turned 3 and those days seem far behind us now. She's consistently making 5-6 word sentences now, and using her final consonants with many words. I have appreciated how focused our teacher is on our daughter's individual needs, and how often she was able to navigate the behavioral challenge our daughter presented at times in her session. Keeping a toddler focused for 10 minutes, let alone 45 is no easy task. Being patient-focused but willing to modify in the moment has been at the heart of our success with Granite Bay Speech. I have also liked the at-home tools and tips. I highly recommend them.
