  John and his team are wonderful. Our flower beds and yard was in need of some sprucing up. John came over to assess the situation. He helped us choose plants that are low maintenance and drought tolerant. He adjusted the irrigation system to account for the new plants. His team also addressed our oxalis problem and transplanted our lemon and kumquat trees into larger pots. When the yard lights needed replacing, John obtained the right bulbs and did that for us as well. John was also willing to work with us on price and come up with beautiful flower options that were within our budget. We are excited to continue working with Gentle Giant's Gardening!

  John and his crew are awesome! I have been through a few landscaping companies here in the city and they are, by far, the best!
  Not only are they attentive, clean and considerate...but they also leave the garden looking beautiful, weeded and then some.
  Not to mention I have had more than one "emergency" situation (i.e. faulty irrigation) that John has rushed right over to take care of for me.
  Could not ask for better service...highly highly recommend these folks!

  Landscaping was the last piece of my renovation. I wanted drought tolerant and easy to maintain. The sprinklers were already pulled so low water was a requirement. I gave him a blank slate.
  
  We discussed my goals, what I liked and my budget. We looked at landscaping materials and plants. He was super nice, informative and had great ideas.
  
  The result is just what I wanted. Very zen. Succulents in an easy to maintain basalt base. (weeding with a torch!). I would recommend John in a heartbeat.

  John Herbert and his crew from Gentle Giant's Gardening are amazingly good at producing what you want for landscaping, I couldn't be more pleased with the drought resistant plants, the drip irrigation system and the layered mulch, compost and gorilla bark overlay, it looks beautiful!

  So many challenges with our property and Gentle Giants still exceeded our expectations!
  We have a garden full of mature rare specimens and a tricky irrigation system.
  We also require organic gardening and wanted to get more production out of our edible gardens.
  John is a great listener and contributed many creative and practical ideas. He is meticulous and is one of those rare service providers who does what he says and says what he does.
  He turned our run of the mill raised bed garden into a showcase for square foot gardening. He even recycled a couple of birches we had to take down, into a one of a kind fence complete with a woven gate. It keeps the deer out of our kale and we get so many compliments on how beautiful it is.
