    My husband and I are working with Fairweather for the second year in a row. We met with the Dad initially last year and then Franz handled everything. I used to do my own taxes but they've gotten a little complicated. Franz is so nice and always makes sure we're not forgetting anything. He gives great advice, is very efficient (we were in and out in less than an hour) and he's a joy to work with.

    I usually do my taxes myself, but this year my tax situation was a little too complex for me and Turbotax to handle. So, I found this place on Yelp and I am so happy I did! Franz Jr. helped me and my husband handle our first time filing jointly, dealt with returns for NJ and NY state taxes, and even helped me track down some missing W2s from a former slacker employer. The whole process took about 6 days, he e-filed for us, and we got a refund less than 2 weeks later. Highly recommended!

    I had a short, simple, and very nice experience that I thought I'd share because it's a good reflection of the trusting character of Mr. Fairweather.

    It took 15 minutes for me to present my situation, upon which Mr. Fairweather gave me some advice on the filing and assured me I'd be capable of filing everything on my own. He could have easily taken my documents and filed for me and charged me, but instead he offered up his time and advice for free and I was on my way. Guess that's what you call paying it forward as an accountant.

    What did I do before Fairweather Tax? Franz Fairweather (the son) helped me with my personal and business taxes 2 years in a row and I am SO GLAD I found him!!! He is very fair, thorough, smart, helpful, quick to respond, and genuinely a kind person! He made tax season easy for me, and charges very affordable rates for small business owners like myself.
