Excel Physical Therapy

Physical Therapist

In 1990, Jeff Ostrowski, PT and Joe Ruhl, PT the founders of Excel, had a simple goal - help people return to life’s activities. Their passion worked. Patients and physicians recognized the value of the Excel approach. The practice grew. Jeff’s and Joe’s vision of a customer service oriented, hands-on approach to care attracted like-minded physical therapists (PT) to join the team. In Excel clinics today, you will find dedicated PTs providing progressive, hands-on therapy in a friendly environment – just like Jeff and Joe did back in 1990.

In 2011, Excel Physical Therapy and Apex Physical Therapy merged, forming the largest PT owned practice in the Delaware Valley. The strengths of both practices were adopted and a new practice was formed. The corporate identity is E&A Therapy, but you will not find any therapy clinics with that name. We’ve maintained the brand names of Apex and Excel Physical Therapy because those are the names that patients and physicians have come to trust. Your confidence in us is important. You can expect to receive the same quality therapy in all E&A clinics. Read more

I am so thankful to the whole team at Excel Physical Therapy. My experience was at the Art Museum location near Center City. Their team of physical therapists create the most healing and positive environment I've had outside of some holistic/yoga studios! Whenever I was in for sessions, I didn't want to leave. I learned so much about my body and how to keep my back and hip in shape. ... I can't thank Jason, Pat, Caitlyn and Cortney at Excel enough for all that they have done for my health. I highly recommend Excel as a whole, as I've heard wonderful things about their other locations as well. It's nice to know we have such talented and healing Physical Therapists in Philly! Thank you!

They therapists are all very friendly whether they are working with you or not. They listen to your goals and help you reach them. They understand every client has different needs and works with each person as an individual. They help you learn to do the exercises independently but make sure you are doing them correctly and working as hard as you can. They have a very calming space and play excellent music. The front desk staff is very welcoming and know you by name. They run on time and keep you moving. Excellent at multitasking!

I have been suffering from positional vertigo for quite some time. Not knowing that help was available, I was just living with the dizziness and avoiding activities that would exasperate it. I was referred to Merideth at Excel and I'm so glad I went. She is certified in vestibular therapy and I was cured of my vertigo in just one session. She is knowledgeable, thorough, kind, and gentle. I would certainly recommend her for this or any of your physical therapy needs. Thank you Merideth!!

I worked with Maureen on my trapezius and bad posture, and then with Meryl for TMJ! Everyone I have encountered at Excel has been knowledgable and attentive. They genuinely care about their clients! The receptionists are some of the best I have ever encountered and the environment made my healing process a blast. I have my last session tomorrow and I will truly miss it. Thanks for everything!

Fantastic place. I switched here from another physical therapy facility that I wasn't in love with. Was recommended to me by a friend. Totally professional and explained everything they were doing. I especially recommend Nick S. he is fantastic. Would recommend them to anyone. I had major surgery at Rothman and they are helping me get back on my feet.
