  I love Evolution Health Care for so many reasons,. I started lifting there around a year ago and since then, I have had so much support as I gain muscle through lifting. They have taught me how to learn how to love my body.

  I've been seeing their chiropractors for at least 5 years now. It started with a tennis elbow injury which they fixed using laser treatments, k tape and therapy. I now go there every few weeks for adjustments and, most importantly, laser treatments for osteoarthritis. Without the laser, I would have had to stop climbing because of the pain and limited joint movement. They only tell you to stop climbing or doing a certain type of exercise if you have to. They have kept me climbing through injury and gotten me healed quickly after joint sprains. They have integrated chiropractic and naturopathic, massage, nutrition, as well as a full workout gym with classes and a high altitude room for training. They are looking after a lot of the climbing community here and they are all active climbers, dancers, cyclists, runners, etc. I can't say enough about how great they are!

  On August 13, 2017 I summited Mount Kilimanjaro without Diamox. It was an incredible and very enjoyable experience. I attribute my ability to do this to my training in the Evolution Hypoxico room for one week prior to leaving. I spent several hours a day in the room which consisted of about 2 hours on the treadmill. In Tanzania once I was above 16,000 ft, I experienced that same little pressure in my chest that I felt in the gym. ... We left at 11:30pm the night before and summited at 5:30am - the first of the day. I had altitude sickness medication on hand and would have taken it if I thought I needed it. Thank you Evolution for making me feel so prepared and capable of climbing a 19,341 ft. mountain!

  Am I glad I gave this place a try at the recommendation of a good friend? YES! I've been suffering from pain in my arm for awhile now, and I finally got a diagnosis (tennis elbow) within 15 minutes of my hour-long appointment. I saw Brad Ferra, and he really knows his stuff.
  
  ... My first visit was $120, but the visits after will be $60. Unfortunately, Evolution doesn't take OHP, which I have, so I paid cash. It is worth it! I actually have hope that the chronic issues I've been living with for so long might actually go away. I highly recommend this place.

  Where do I begin?! I'd be utterly lost without DR Farra (chiropractor/owner) and Julia (massage therapist). I've followed him around Portland for eight years and he's pure magic. He fixes us right up and is realistic and encouraging with treatment - never carries it on longer than we need. We truly owe our good health to him and trust him fully.
  
  ... Both of them are truly jacks of all trade. Highly recommend. Evolution in general is a real life changer.

  The five stars are for Dr. Shena Vander Ploeg specifically. Although, I'm guessing there are other good medical providers at the office I cannot speak for Evolution Healthcare as a whole since I'm only seeing Dr. Shena. I can say that the staff at the front desk are amiable and that the waiting room has a comfortable atmosphere. The free water and herbal tea offered adds a welcoming touch too.
