Yevgeny Zakusilo, L.Ac, is a National Board Certified Acupuncturist and holds a degree as a Master of Sciences in Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago. He completed a five year apprenticeship with Master S. Wang, where he refined his techniques of Acupuncture, Qi Gong, Tui Na Massage, and traditional Chinese Herbs. He is also a member of AAOM, the American Association of Oriental Medicine.
Prior to entering the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yevgeny Zakusilo graduated as a Medical Doctor in 1986 with a specialty in Neurology from 1st Medical School in St. Petersburg, Russia.
He has been practicing Acupuncture since 1987 after he received his certification in Acupuncture from the Institute for Advanced Medical Training in St. Petersburg, Russia. Read more

Dr. Z is an excellent doctor. I trust him completely because he has thorough knowledge of and training in conventional medicine and in alternative medicine and acupuncture. He helped me with my chronic back-pain issues with his needles and a recommendation to stick with gentle yoga when University of Chicago hospital recommended a surgery. He has that special touch which is both healing and comforting, I love how it works. I always leave his office feeling relaxed, calm and good.

Seeking relief from tendonitis in both elbows, a massage therapist suggested Dr Z. That was more than ten years ago. Dr Z relieved my tendonitis and then cured my acid reflux. I took my bed off the blocks that kept my head higher than my feet at night. I now sleep comfortably in a level position. He is a gifted, knowledgeable and gentle man. He's attentive to my needs and advises me on how I can help myself. His herbal supplements are awesome! The Chinese have been using them for centuries and now Dr Z brings that to me. I've been deeply stressed for the past two years and with his help have been able to endure and prosper. Make an appointment and check him out. I believe you'll be amazed.

I have been through some very serious back pain problems. Anyone who has ever experienced it knows how tough they are to conquer. I decided to do my research to try everything before considering those serious matters like surgery, etc. I tried numerous chiropractors, pain doctors and physical therapists. I heard different opinions and very pleasant fairy tales about how they would help me. My wife was given Dr. Z's number by her friends, and I finally gave it a try. Dr. Z was right on with my problems - right on the very first visit. He is extremely knowledgeable and honest. I prefer less talk and more to the point. I got very good results (it took some time - and I was told right upfront) and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I also saw the same patients coming back to him. Isn't it the best compliment for a good doc?
