Dunne's Finishing Service

Refinishing Services

Dunne’s Finishing Service has been in business for over 30 years and is family owned and operated.

Dennis’s passion for woodworking began in his hometown of Chicago, IL where he worked for world-renowned furniture retailers as a professional craftsman. After marrying in the fall of ‘77, Dennis and his wife, Joanne, moved to California. With his passion for woodworking and experience in the furniture industry, Dennis put together a business model and opened The Dunne’s Finishing Service in 1979.

For the first few years of its inception, the business was run out of their home in San Jose, CA. It wasn’t until the birth of their daughter, Michelle, in 1985, that the business moved to an industrial warehouse near San Jose’s Willow Glen neighborhood, where it has remained ever since. Today, The Dunne’s Finishing Service networks with hundreds of insurance companies and van line agencies and has served literally thousands of satisfied customers. Read more

Dennis did a fantastic job on a antique rifle that I have . the stock was cracked and broke off-missing a chunk off the corner I must say I had given up hope. Could not find an original replacement. Talked to Dennis show him. he said he'll do what he can. I must say you cannot tell the difference. Even up close .you could not see the damage occurred. Dennis thank you very much will definitely recommend you highly to any needing repair or refinishing.

Dennis saved my very expensive Ethan Allen dining table. He treated a large deep gash and now I don't even notice it. Super nice guy. A pleasure to meet. Thanks Dennis

Dennis did an incredible job handling the repair of our piano. Our electric Yamaha Clavinova piano was damaged during two moves (two pieces broke off) and since it was such an old model, we'd thought it would be impossible to find the parts needed to repair it. Dennis was able to re-fabricate one of the discontinued parts with wood and matched the detail and stain exactly to the original state. He was easy to communicate with, punctual, and a pleasure to work with. We feel like we have a brand-new beautiful piano again! Highly recommend his services.
