  Dr. Diakiw is so gentle, attentive, caring, and all around a nice person. Since the first time I found her on google and my daughter's first visit with her she has always been great and always addressed any concern we've had. I would recommend her to everyone. I currently in in Sorrento Valley and my husband and I will still drive the distance for our little girl to see her. Dr. Diakiw thank you for always taking great care of our daughter.

  Dr. Diakiw is the most caring, most concerned Pediatrician. She goes out of her way to make sure your child is provided with the best possible care

  Dr. D is truly one of a kind! … Dr. D took her time to listen (to everything!), engaged with my daughter, engaged with us, the parents. She's full of energy and amazing with kids. She also happens to be a brilliant pediatrician. She thoroughly explains every detail of a test, ailment, follow-up, etc. I have never walked out of her office wondering if we made the right choice in treatment or otherwise. We feel so blessed to have found her. My daughter LOVES going to see Dr. D, and more importantly, she is doing great in her care!
  I should also mention she has the best staff ever! The nurses are equally amazing with the kids and all of our after hours emergency (whether with Dr. D or Nurses) have been answered and handled to our 100% approval. I seriously could go on and on!

  … She explains things very clearly, she is very efficient, and, she really loves kids and animals. When we throw in a story or two about our dogs, chickens, or our lizards, she's quick to share a story of her own. I look beyond just what I need medically from my child's doctor - I also see a chance for my child to have a wonderful role model in Dr. D., with the way she interacts, how smart is, how she responds to our questions, and how her staff interacts with patients... they are very efficient - all the while being very, very clear and kind. I can't say enough great things about Dr. D.!

  Dr Diakaw is a wonderful Pediatrician. She is very knowledgable, professional, patient and kind. She is very thorough and I always leave her office confident that my children received the best care from the nurses, who are also very knowledgable and friendly, to Dr. D. I highly recommend Shelter Island Pediatrics!!!
