I followed a less than traditional path as a healer, receiving a B.A. in English and French literature from UCSC in 1979. I went on to publish poetry while pursuing pre-med class work. I was introduced to Tai Chi in 1986, and learned several forms, one of which I currently teach. I went on to aikido and became a first-degree Shodan and instructor, concurrently studying the internal and external martial arts of Ba Gua Chuan, Xing Yi Chuan, Tai Chi Chuan, and Shaolin Chuan.
I have studied two forms of Qi Gong, using them during martial arts practice and for their healing accesses. I have continued in Tibetan and Taoist Meditations for the past 34 years. Read more

Denise has played a monumental part in my overall well being. She has such positive energy and has so much love to give. I first started seeing Denise because of a concussion. ... She has a lot of knowledge regarding herbal medicine and dietary assistance to help fix the issue at hand. Now 5 years later I am still seeing her for acupuncture and have taken her Tai Chi and Meditation classes.

I have been seeing Denise for Acupuncture for about 15 or so years. She is a true healer. I have tried a few other Acupuncturists in Davis, but I think she is the most knowledgeable and talented. She has a deep spirituality about her. I also have attended tai chi with her and she is a wonderful teacher. Can't say enough good about her.

... She also gives dietary recommendations and provides a wide array of herbs (from traditional Chinese herbs to Amazons' plants) that work in synergy with the acupuncture treatment. She is very meticulous and acute observer of minor changes in your body's response to treatment - changes that can have huge effect on the overall well-being. She is extremely knowledgeable, and always willing to share a few pointers to improve people's lives. The treatment is personalized and the peaceful environment of her home is very conductive to healing and relaxing.

Denise, is amazing. She is kind, caring, easy going, remarkably talented And very knowledgeable. You feel like your talking to a good friend instantly. I started going to her because of an accident and some nagging pains. Basically feeling beat. From the first visit I noticed a difference. I go regularly and feel awesome. I am not totally pain free but I have noticed a HUGE difference in my pain, body and being. So much more than some lady who pokes you with needles. If You Havent been to her you owe it to yourself to go.
