In 1994, after returning from touring with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, I started playing with various wedding bands in the Chicago area. After a number of years performing as a bassist for these bands, I found one truth was consistent in every group: they treated every client exactly the same. I could almost always predict what song was going to be played next. Even if people weren’t dancing to a particular song, they would keep playing it only because the song was on the set list and it worked for a client last week. I felt that clients deserved to be treated better than just being another date on their calendar. We believe every couple has their own story. That’s why in 1999, I decided to start David Rothstein Music, Inc. I’m as inspired in 2017 as I was in 1999!

David had a dream to create a music company that was special. A company that would give you the most incredible music and meaningful memories way above and beyond your expectations! We are so happy to have worked with David for our August 2017 wedding! We first chose to contact David because of the stellar reviews on Yelp, The Knot, etc. When we contacted several bands to discuss our wedding night, David was by far the most responsive and organized we spoke with. ... These guys know how to rock a party! David was a wonderful MC the whole evening. After our wedding, people have continued to tell us how much fun they had dancing the night away. To top it off, David presented us with a gift that we absolutely LOVE!He had a football helmet from our alma mater with a pen ready for all our guests to sign; we were so happy to have this amazing keepsake from our wedding night! Thanks David and DRM!

DRM IS THE BEST WEDDING BAND! We knew that we wanted to go with David Rothstein Music because they played at my friend's wedding and we were blown away by them. Needless to say, our expectations were very high for our own wedding. David and the band exceeded our expectations in every way possible. ... They LOVED it! All 280 guests were on the dance floor all night and everyone was raving about the band. We also hired the DJ and sax duo for an extra hour for an "after party" and it was INCREDIBLE! My only regret is that they couldn't play all night. If you hire DRM, you are guaranteed to have an unforgettable wedding!

One of our ultimate goals for our wedding night was that us and our guests would have the most fun at our reception. The kind of fun that kept people talking for weeks after our day was over. ... They played the perfect blend of crowd pleasers spanning several decades, our specific requests, and used their knowledge to orchestrate the best dancefloor our guests and vendors have ever seen. Seriously, everyone raved that "this was the most lively, packed, fun dancefloor they've ever seen".This will be the absolute best investment you will make for your wedding! It was most definitely ours! Cannot thank David Rothstein and his talented team enough!! We will recommend to every single bride and groom!!!

We first discovered the David Rothstein Band while guests at a friend’s wedding. We were blown away by the energy they brought to the reception. People were on the dance floor the entire night. When it came time for us to select our wedding band, we knew we wanted a reputable band, with tons of energy, that would encourage people to dance and celebrate the entire night. ... He took the time to get to know us so he could completely tailor the music to our preferences. It was such a relief to check an item of the wedding to-do list with 100% confidence. When the day came, David’s 10-piece band completely lived up to our high expectations. They brought the energy and charisma we valued so much. Our friends and family are still gushing about “that great band at your wedding!” You can’t go wrong with David Rothstein.

If you want to ensure your dance floor is packed until they turn the lights on, David Rothstein Band is the way to go. After researching numerous band options for our wedding, David Rothstein was without a question the best. We had the time of our lives on our wedding night and so did our guests. Our guests could not say enough great things about how fun and energetic the music was. They were asking David for his card at the end of the night! Even when the band was done, the sax continued to play along with the DJ. It was an amazing night, the energy of the room was at an all time high and people are still talking about it! Thank you to David and the entire band!
