Knowledgable and proficient guides and instructors to make your backcountry experience memorable

I did my AIARE 1 course with them, split between Denver and Rocky Mountain National Park. The guides were good instructors in both the field and the classroom, and took a personal interest in our safety and our learning as students.

I took the CMS 8 day Moab rock climbing course with Mike Lewis and Buster Jesik and had one of the best, most fun and challenging times of my entire life. The guides are incredible and provided excellent instruction and at times much needed encouragement. I definitely became a better and more confident climber. I've also gone up a grade in the gym since returning home! And as an amazing added bonus the friendships I made with my fellow climbers on the course are the icing on the rad cake...going climbing with some of the crew at Shelf Road and planning on more adventures in the future. I will definitely be taking more courses with CMS to continue to grow as a climber and learn how to stay safe! Climb on!

I took the CMS 5 day rock climbing course, and I was never disappointed. Well rounded guides and best techniques. Go with Jake, he is an amazing guide. I truly loved the experience.

I stayed at the Colorado Mountain School for a couple nights during the week in August. It was a fairly quiet time of year which I enjoyed. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I enjoyed getting to meet people with similar interests that were passing through. You can't beat the price, location, and atmosphere. Everyone was very respectful and my stay encouraged me to fall in love with Estes Park
