Founded in 1963, BES is a Colorado member-owned 501(c)3 non-profit entity. BES is 100% volunteer. The primary source of funding is the Boulder County Commissioners.
BES is the primary dive rescue agency for Boulder County and works closely with the Sheriff's department, EMS, and fire-rescue agencies providing mutual-aid support for a variety of technical rescue incidents and emergency situations. Read more

Dedicated, professional, and caring. B.E.S. has changed over the years but the membership remains consistently willing to learn new skills to provide an unmatched service to the community. When called to action, you can expect that what ever the problem, they can work out a solution. They work seamlessly with other agencies as well.
