Bottega is a family project. When Carmen Salas, Sylvia De Armas’ sister-in-law moved to Miami they searched together for a school for Ale, Carmen’s’ son who was two years old at the time. The quest for a school that offered the quality of education Carmen experienced in Venezuela was very disappointing. This is when Sylvia and Carmen made the decision to create the place that they were so desperately seeking. That’s how the idea for Bottega Child Development Center was born. Read more

I first encountered Bottega at a green baby fair in 2014. They excitedly told me the kids were learning all about dirt that week, inspired by the playground being built out back. I thought they were a little kooky. Two years later, I began looking for the right preschool for my daughter.

... They also emphasize a lot of soft skills, like anger management and empathy for others, that are often overlooked but so critical in life.

We became part of the Bottega family when they first opened their doors and have been in love ever since. They have a warm family environment, enriching facility, parent & community involvement, and most important, teachers and staff that go above and beyond!

Bottega is a great, nurturing school where young children feel right at home. My son has adapted well, loves his teachers and is enjoying new friends. Bottega's approach to early childhood education encourages creativity, child lead ideas and critical thinking. We have met wonderful families and the staff is exceptional!

Bottega is really a unique preschool in that all the staff work cooperatively as a unit and truly offer personalized/individualized care to the children. Plus the physical environment is changed and enhanced regularly to keep the kids engaged and interested. Two thumbs up!
