We have brought our car here as it's close to work. Chris is just a super friendly and caring person who obviously takes great care of his customers. Honest and reliable-- these are the best attributes you can have as a car mechanic. We have had multiple oil changes, side mirror repair, etc, and have always been reasonably satisfied. My wife says he has a very "magnetic" personality. Not sure what that means, or whether I should be threatened, but you should know that means he's a cool dude.

This shop does more for your money than most places. For example, I took my car to another shop in Newark and was quoted $400 to change the thermostat and flush the coolant. Automotive Services and Repair replaced my radiator, the hoses, the clamps, the coolant and the thermostat for about the same amount of money and they used good parts too!! Talk to Chris, he is very professional and honest.

My sister went on vacation and I took her car, realized that she hasn't gotten her oil changed and it was about 2,000 over than when she was suppose to change it.

ASR is my go to local shop. He treats his customers with respect.
I've only needed to do my oil changes here, but if you have other issues, I know he tends to drop off the customers to their homes if he has to work on your car for a long time.
