First off, such nice people working here! I felt comfortable instantly from calling them to bringing in my car for an oil change. Sometimes it's hard being a woman with auto shops trying to upsell you on different things (thank you jiffy lube). This is such a wonderful family owned place. They are honest, decently priced and great customer service! I'll definitely be taking my car here from now on.

These guys are literally the most honest mechanics I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Totally above board and solid. I have been using them for about 2 years, And from day one I have always felt well taken care of. Great for domestic and foreign.. fair price, quality service, totally trustworthy... Boom! The trifecta of great service.

Last week I brought my car in because the AC hadn't been working and there was a fluid leak. Mike was extremely helpful and did a great job of explaining what the issues were. As a female, I have been talked to in condescending, patronizing ways many times--especially when it has to do with car problems. Mike spoke to me with the utmost respect, professionalism, and care. He also could have talked me into getting a repair that would have been considered non-essential and he could have done that easily. However, he told me the situation and what would need to take place for the issue to not progress. He didn't try to sell me on something that I didn't absolutely need.

Mike cares deeply about his business and it shows clear as day. His communication skills are top notch and his gentle care is evident even in speaking to him on the phone. We will definitely continue to take our cars to Allman Family Auto because great customer service AND high quality work are both very hard to come by! -

This is a shop I can believe I'm getting the up front honesty that I need when making a car decision. I've learned that getting my car maintenance done regularly by someone I trust will save me money in the long run. My vehicles are always running great, and Mike and his crew have so much experience they catch things quite often. When my car does break down, it's back up and running and I don't experience the, breakdown-get it fixed-just so it breaks down a week later stuff that some of my friends experience that don't go to Mike. I've been going to Allman Family Auto for maybe 7 years now and I can see the difference in having a faithful mechanic versus not having one. Highly recommend paying him a visit if you haven't. It's awesome. Thanks Mike and crew!

We brought our van for brake work because it was squealing and crunching. It was the first time at Allman Family Auto. Mike was honest and didn't try to charge us for unnecessary service. We noticed how other repeat customers were also comfortable bringing their cars to Mike. We asked him about an oil leak that Jiffy lube had said we needed to take care of. Mike told us how older cars can leak a little bit of oil, but not to worry about it, and it was not an issue. He also told us which jobs could be taken care of at a later time. If you are in the San Diego area, this is where you want to take your car for any service.
