Our daughter has officially graduated after 14 months of intense hard work with Vision Therapy. She had Refractive Amblyopia, aka "Lazy Eye." Before Vision Therapy, she wasn't even using her left eye, to see. Her brain was accommodating with only one eye. This was because she has two different prescriptions in each eye, one worse than the other. Her brain favored the better eye, of course, and hence the lazy eye. After all the therapy sessions, & glasses, she was able to re-train her brain to see, using both eyes together. It's been a long journey, but so worth it. Most importantly, we have noticed the positive impact on her reading skills, coordination, and overall Vision. As an unexpected side note, Vision Therapy has also positively impacted her other 4 senses, as well. We had no idea that our daughter was hyper-sensitive & overstimulated, bc of her lack of vision before the Therapy. After VT, we have noticed a huge difference in her ability to process sensory-related input (loud noises, textures, foods, clothing fabrics, etc). Thank you All Ages Vision Therapy, Dr. Beasley, Mrs. Stephanie, and Mrs. Wendy!
