  Our kitty is about 20 and had a ferocious appetite but remained scrawny when she was hyperthyroid. AVMI was able to get us an appointment very soon after I called, answered all my questions and didn't pressure me to "make the sale". The kitty cams were so helpful in being able to monitor our baby through her stay. Best of all, AVMI was able to get our girl in and out in the minimum 4 days! Today our kitty has a healthy, round little tummy and throws herself at our feet often, demanding belly rubs and purring contently. She even feels more soft and plush since her treatment! We can't thank Dr. Broome and his staff enough for "fixing" our kitty. ...

  ... The Dr. was informative and professional and kept it at that. Unfortunately the receptionist was rude and my husband and I almost said something to her, but did not out of fear she'd be unkind to Chloe.
  But Lisa was our savior. It was hard to watch Chloe be moved about in her cubby as if she was not a cat but a thing. I completely understand that employees cannot spend time with the kitties because of the radiation and workers are already so exposed.
  But when Lisa would clean her cage, she head butted Chloe quickly as she was leaning in to clean the cage and would give her a quick scratch with one hand while cleaning with the other.
  ... Her levels have stayed normal and she gained her weight back quickly and has kept it on. She is doing so well!!!!
  They saved her life and we feel so lucky that we live close enough to be able to take her here. It was worth it.

  I am so impressed with this facility. Doctor Broom, Heather and the rest of the staff were wonderful. My little furbaby was in good hands. The doctor explained the procedure as well as aftercare very thoroughly.
  Heather was also amazing. She called me daily to provide me with updates. Very sweet and also very thorough. Great customer service. She really is a gem.
  The webcam is also awesome. I was able to check in on my cat throughout the day. This brought me peace. So glad I brought my cat here.

  If you are checking out this site you are probably wondering if this is the best place to take your cat. I was here two weeks ago and decided to make an appointment. If your cat is diagnosed with hyperthyroidism as was mine and you have found out about the radioactive iodine treatment available at Advanced Veterinary Medical Imaging, then you have found the BEST place to treat your cat. ... Dr. Broome and his entire staff are very gracious and professional. My cat "Tay Tay" is home and back to her normal self now and there is no need to medicate her daily as before. I can't tell you how incredibly impressed I am by the personal courteous compassionate professional service provided by AVMI. They really are TEN STAR!

  Wow! Just Wow! Our kitty just came home after a four night stay for thyroid radiation. I can't say enough about how organized, intuitive, communicative, and thoughtful the team at AVMI is. They honestly should give classes to all businesses on how to communicate with customers, anticipate their needs, and just be considerate in general. They treated us as though we were handing over our human child for treatment. They go above and beyond to make sure you feel as secure as possible with your choice and keep you informed of every single action with your cat. The webcam and access to her medical record is awesome!!!!
