Advanced Kinetics Physical Therapy and Sports Performance (AKPT) was co-founded by Dr. Angela Gordon and Kwang Han co-founded in 2015.
Together Dr. Gordon and Mr. Han have developed a one of a kind specialized Physical Therapy practice and have bridged the gap between rehab and fitness with a medical exercise speciality. All the staff at Advanced Kinetics are knowledgable and nice, and my PT Sam, in particular, has been my savior! For the past year, I've been dealing with lower back issues, the pain from which has severely decreased my quality of life and ability to work out. I did months of PT elsewhere with little improvement. Then, a trusted friend recommended Advanced Kinetics. I was skeptical but desperate, so gave it a try. The progress I made in a few weeks was remarkable and helped me avoid a steroid injection (yay!). Sam really spends a lot of time with her patients, is personable and knows what she's doing. She spends an entire 30 minutes working with you one on one - massage, manipulation or dry needling (extra charge, but effective) - and then your exercises are supervised by a very qualified assistant (and your PT still keeps checking in). The individual attention has been impressive and is much appreciated! They are equally up to date with their equipment, plus insurance and billing have been very smooth. I still have a bit of a journey to get back to my prior self, but working with Advanced Kinetics has given me a light at the end of the tunnel and I highly recommend them! Now I just hope they won't get too busy so I can still get appointments :)

Angela, Sam, and Kwang have been great for my ACL! They are extremely knowledgeable and effective. My recovery has been progressing really well and promote an environment that is positive and comfortable for all staff and clients.

Their reputation in the area with doctors and Sports professionals (Washington Nationals) shows in the results!
Facility is clean and top notch! Billing has been quiet which means everything is easy!
If you ask nicely, they'll play some throwback Thursday tunes while you do your exercises. :) -

Advanced Kinetics staff are amazing. From the front desk to the aides you are always treated with the upmost respect, kindness, and compassion! They are extremely thorough with insurance coverage and billing, not once did I have to follow up on anything insurance related. They had it covered!!!

Angela is absolutely wonderful! From the very first visit I could tell that I was lucky to have found her. Angela is very knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. Physical therapy is truly her passion, which you can clearly tell from every interaction with her. I recommend Advanced Kinetics to everyone I know. -

Kwang is nothing but professional and helpful in every way! I have a torn PCL in my left knee and he was able to treat me and get be back to playing rugby in 4 1/2 months!
