  Perfect! I came to Abe after going to another storefront furniture repair shop. They had told me that my job was going to cost a LOT of money and take 4-6 weeks. I'm glad I didn't just say yes. I took my piece of furniture and came to Abe. He told me a price that I was actually expecting and told me it would done over the weekend. He called me up the next day actually and said it was done. I was impressed all around.

  Abe is basically a wizard. (And a super punctual one who shows up precisely on time and answers the phone anytime you call!)
  
  … Abe came to our house to assess the damage. He arrived at exactly the time he said he would, spent a few minutes looking at the chair, and gave us a fair estimate for the price.
  
  One week later, he brought the chair back. Abe had crafted totally new legs, stained them a perfect color, and reattached them (and fixed all the ratty upholstery under the chair where my cat had burrowed into the lining). It looks impeccable, and it's structurally sound. All within one week, including pick up and drop off!
  
  Abe is amazing and I'd use him again in a heartbeat.

  ... He explained exactly how he was going to do the work in detail. I liked what I heard and gave him the job of the 4 chairs. Abe completed the job in less than his estimated completion time and the quality of his work was excellent. All the chairs are as good, if not better than, they were when they were new. Each is now as solid as a rock.
  
  Abe was very friendly and quite pleasant to deal with and his price was very fair. His work was excellent. I would highly recommend Abe for any furniture work you may have.

  ... I also consulted two other refinishers; this work does not come cheap, but Abe's price was the most reasonable and his availability was the best. He got to the job quickly, finished exactly when promised, charged exactly what we expected, and did a fantastic job with two dressers and a mirror (stripping them, filling scratches and gouges, refinishing them, polishing the hardware, replacing the mirror glass, and handling pickup and delivery). He has a low-key approach--gave us no written estimate or agreement on the work to be done, but he also didn't ask for a deposit and was very agreeable about letting us come to his workshop midway through the job to decide on the exact finish we wanted. I highly recommend him and look forward to using him again when we can afford the next project!

  I was looking to refinish my danish modern coffee table that I had bought at an auction. Had a few dark stains on top as well as some water stains. I searched online and found Abe's. He came to my apt in Boston and gave me an estimate which was pricey considering what I paid for the piece but I loved the table so I decided to do it. He took the table and within a week it was done and I must say it looks great. Would I use him again definitely!
