Aaron Spagnolo Wedding Photography

Photographer

I’m a full-time wedding photographer with over 9 years of experience in wedding photography, and 16 years in commercial photography and photojournalism. For years before my first wedding photography gig, as a commercial photographer, I’ve worked for organizations like Pfizer and M.I.T. As a photojournalist, I’ve traveled the world, delivered photos to presidents and governments as well as supplied photos to media like the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and the Huffington Post. I loved my work, but it only took being asked to cover my first wedding (for Martha Stewart Weddings) to get hooked on wedding photography. I love meeting couples, getting to know them, their plans and expectations, and working with them to see this gorgeous day materialize. There’s something about the anticipation, the hard work, the emotions, the love, and the celebration. Every single wedding I cover is special, thrilling, and fun.

I love the element of discovery and the chase for the best shot. I enjoy getting unexpected candids—that’s the photojournalist in me—but I also really enjoy the fine-art wedding portraiture. My lovely bride and partner-in-crime, Nanore, joins me on all wedding shoots. We’ve covered all types of weddings: rustic campsite weddings, nature elopes, formal and high-end affairs, LGBTQ, Armenian, Greek, Indian, Vietnamese, and Italian weddings—you name it! I hope we’ll get to cover your big day. Read more

Aaron was wonderful to work with, fun, creative and very original! He is extremely responsive and gave us more than just wedding photos. From engagement shoots to the wedding day he created an experience that was so relaxed and easy going so that no bride has any time to worry. The pictures were more than your average and generic wedding shots and really have us reliving the day over and over again. Aaron truly knows how to capture the moment!

Aaron is a one-of-a-kind photographer. The experience is worth more than the pictures honestly. I'm a photographer/videographer myself and I was extremely selective on who/what I wanted. My wife and I found Aaron through a friend of a friend, and it was a decision that I would not hesitate to make again. We wanted something different, something more memorable than the standard Wedding gig when it came to our photos. Low and behold, Aaron came into the picture. We also used him for our engagement photos which was great. He spent the day with us and shot the photos similar to a documentary to a story-line. ...

Aaron is such a great personality. He made this not so comfortable experience SO enjoyable and so fun. We walked all over Boston and took the most incredible photos. Best of all, we had the best time doing it. We even stopped to get a drink to just sit around and laugh. We made the best decision when we hired Aaron. I ended up asking for raw images just for my own personal record, and he did it even though that it is not the norm for him. He accommodated us in every way he could and with that alone, I would recommend him to anyone. Thanks Aaron! We can't wait to see our final photo's!

Aaron is a true artist: weird, lovable, and incredibly talented. His photos belong printed in National Geographic and hanging in art galleries. Aaron sees things that others can’t and captures mood and lighting in a way that completely breaks the mold of traditional wedding photography. We chose to work with Aaron because he brings something different to the table. He doesn’t just capture the usual wedding photos of family members uncomfortably standing arm to arm with painfully forced smiles on. Instead he uses his day to find beautiful geometry in the building or light poking through a forgotten window. His photos are thoughtful, well-planned, and artistic. As a result of this, his subject and backgrounds blend together in a perfect unity that captures special moments in ways you didn’t think were possible. Aaron is incredibly easy to work with and will keep you laughing throughout the day. You won’t regret working with him.

Talk about flexible. I threw Aaron in a completely foreign experience and he stepped up to the task. Aaron's creativity and sheer talent is insurmountable. He's able to find beauty in the most simple, basic moments. He showed the capacity to capture all the feelings throughout our wedding day in his photos. Aaron has demonstrated the ability to be flexible and patient. Thank you Aaron for capturing the memories in your photos! I highly suggest Aaron for anyone looking for a wedding photographer. Whether your preference is candid or posed, Aaron is able to deliver, exceeding expectations.
