Day Darmet Catering

Caterer

New York City born Day Darmet was given her first Betty Crocker Cookbook at age 4 and her love of cooking took off from there. While living in LA, Day owned and operated two restaurants and catering companies where she was the chef, featuring seasonal foods before the idea was popular.
In 1990, Day moved to Lyon , France where she studied regional cooking and met up with acquaintance, Florence Raynaud.
In 1993, after moving to San Francisco , Day became the catering director for several large corporate catering companies. Having mastered the catering business, she partnered up with Florence Raynaud to begin the event planning company, Daily Plan It, during the dot.com era where they planned, catered and created incredible parties, corporate events and rages. Day is equal parts creativity and workhorse. Her creativity is expressed by her distinctive and appealing point of view in her choice of recipes and unique party ideas. She truly loves what she does and looks forward to every day at work.
In 2002, Day and Florence developed and created Day Darmet Catering Corporate and Private Events. Read more

This place is a hidden gem in the Bayview. They have grab n go salads and sandwiches. For hot food there something different everyday. And it is yummy! The salads salads usually come with fruit or chips. And they're really friendly! I'm glad to work down the block from them.

I order from Day Darmet for work and they have been amazing. They have always come at least 15 mins early to set up the tablecloth. ... To repeat it again, unlike other catering companies, they provide homemade items and present everything in a professional way.

I have recommended them to other colleagues and they have found them to be amazing as well. Consistency is key, and they have always been such.

Sooo lucky i work right next to their kitchen. At lunch they offer up whatever they are cooking for all of us who work in the hood to grub on. 9/10 times it is not your average lunch, grilled salmon, chicken marsala, stuffed chicken breast, fajitas. Best part of my day is reading the menu and finding myself hungry. Not a huge variety but everyday there is something new. If they had a sit down location i bet they would do great. Also the price is well worth it $7 for the daily special. I assume this is because it isnt an actual restaurant. Also great helpful staff!!! Hope to have them cater for me one day!!
