Zoe Bella Birth Services

Doula

I graduated from San Diego State University in 1989 with a degree in Biology. Loving animals, I had a zoo career for many years. My husband and I gave birth to our first child, Zoe in a birth center in Orlando, Florida in 2001, and I became a full-time mama.

Being fascinated by pregnancy and the birthing experience, I became a DONA Certified Doula in 2002, then a Certified Childbirth Educator in 2003. When I became pregnant with our son, Evan in 2004, I knew Best Start Birth Center was the best choice for me. I support the San Diego birthing community by teaching childbirth preparation classes for Best Start Birth Center, and I have taught at many of the hospitals in San Diego over the years. In additional to being a specialist in placenta encapsulation, I work as a birth and postpartum doula – and just attended my 200th birth.

DONA Certified Birth DoulaHaving a safe, peaceful and empowering birth experience can have lasting positive effects on a family. My hope is that through my teaching and doula work, I can help women find their strength and improve the birth experience one birth at a time. Read more

We had Trisha encapsulate my placenta after birth and it was the best decision! Her services were top notch! She picked up my placenta shortly after delivery and delivered the pills to me the day after along with an extra surprise! I felt great after delivery despite the usual aches and pains. No signs of postpartum depression, a lot of milk supply and extra energy. ...

I am so glad I took advantage of my opportunity to get my placenta encapsulated by Zoe Bella. The pills make me feel so great! I was really worried about postpartum depression and being overly tired and I really have so much energy after I take them. I had about 2 days of baby blues and nothing since! I really believe in placenta encapsulation and would recommend all mommies (especially new moms) to do it! :)

I'm a first time mom and with all first time moms and moms in general, I had so many questions and concerns regarding placenta encapsulation. I've heard wonderful things about it but have also heard a few negative things.

I spoke with Trisha and she answered all my questions and was so helpful in so many ways. ...

First of all I will suggest that if you plan to have a birth with no epidural get a doula. It is worth the investment. If I had not had a doula probably I would had done the epidural and panic. Second, in my opinion Trisha’s strongest quality is that she has a strong presence and transmits confidence. This made me feel safe and supported during my labor. ...
