Yogaleena Studio

Yoga Instructor

I fell in love with yoga 7 years ago when I was juggling a stressful corporate job, an MBA program at Georgetown University, and all of the messy emotions of being a single gal in my 20s. I desperately needed a place to unwind, breathe, and figure out what the heck I really wanted for myself, so I tried yoga.

To be honest, it wasn't loved at first breath, but something kept me coming back. Over time, the practice made me feel strong, balanced, and confident. My mind started to clear, my creativity came back to life, and I found myself taking everything a little less seriously. So, not to be overly dramatic, but yoga kinda changed my life.

From those early days on my mat in DC, I started playing with the idea of opening my own yoga studio so that I could share this amazing practice with anyone willing to give it a shot. And here we are today, almost a decade later, you and I and a community of yogis practicing, chatting, and giggling away in a lovely yogi nook. Dreams do come true! Read more

I've attended two classes here both with Stacy. I really enjoy her slow flow + meditation classes which are both inspiring and a good work out.

The studio is clean and my interaction with the women that work there has always been pleasant.

I enjoy trying different classes, as each teacher offers something different to their students. But I'm happy to know I can always hop in a class at Yogaleena and feel at home.

It's been over a year since I began practicing here and provided a review. I don't review often yet I think Yogaleena deserves this review after a year of flowing consistency. I cannot say enough about this studio, the owner, and the community they attract. The studio is clean, adorable and filled with zen energy. We laugh often and are always glad to see each other. I look forward to each class and the balance this has brought to my life is incredible. You don't even realize how hard you are working since the instruction is sprinkled with stretching and moments of chill. Highly recommend!

Yogaleena provides an incredibly welcoming environment for students of all levels because of their room "above room temperature" (but not hot!) studio, the incredibly motivating and kind-hearted instructors, and the yoga studio providing that positive zen.

Yogaleena welcomes 2 beginner classes and a "newbie" workshop once a month to provide new students to really learn yoga without feeling overwhelmed.

I highly recommend this studio for first timers and those who have been practicing for years

Instructors willing to work with your skill level and being open to accommodations is nice. Ive had a great few days in my 30 unlimited days for $30! At the end of this month, maybe I've found my Yoga home! Totally stoked!

A great, intimate yoga experience in a great location. Yogaleena is located on Shepard in the Shepard Oaks shopping center. Be warned that depending on what time you go, parking can be a mess. That is the only CON to visiting this shop, but I am certain if you wait a minute someone will leave and you can have their spot, should you visit in the evenings after work!
