West Side Pet Clinic

Veterinary Care

West Side Pet Clinic introduces a whole new model in high quality pet wellness care. Owner Dr. Stevens and his colleague Dr. Sickels recognize that there are several companion animal care needs not currently addressed by veterinary clinics in the area.

West Side Pet Clinic focuses on four major areas of care: complete physical exams, administering vaccinations, diagnosing common ailments (fleas, ear infections, worms, etc) and educating the public on preventing illnesses. Pets that require more advanced care such as x-rays, surgery, or hospitalization are referred to a full service veterinary practice.

I've brought my puppy here since I've had him in August '15. Dr. Sickels has always been amazing. Given I am my dog is my very first pet she always offers suggestions on minor behavioral issues and never pushes for me to pay for any expensive and unnecessary treatments. Rather than prescribing an expensive allergy medication, she suggested I purchase benedryl from my local store to alleviate itching (and it worked). I never feel rushed, especially when they aren't too busy, and am always satisfied with my care. My dog is also a brat and they are always patient with him. This is only a clinic so they do not offer spay/neuter services but they are familiar with other facilities that can offer these services for a low cost.

What a wonderful place to bring your dog. Very nice staff, accommodating, kind and empathetic-everything you need when your dog isn't feeling well. My poor Cozmo, Beagle/Doxie mix was treated so well. They even set up a special bed for him to rest. They were timely, professional, and reasonably priced.

I want to express my gratitude to the West Side Pet Clinic. We brought a badly matted stray cat we named Chester to the clinic. Dr Sickels examined him and found him to be a diabetic neutered male. She explained the options concerning care of a diabetic cat. While it was a bit overwhelming she agreed to at least clean him up. When we returned to pick Chester up they had shaved him and trimmed his claws. They were kind enough to not charge for the grooming/trim. Chester is now a part of our family. We have him on proper medication and his coat is growing in. Thanks!!!

The staff took great care of my cat Princess, who was very sick and old. They took us at last minute and didn't rush me through the decision of having her euthanized when I already knew that that's what was going to have to happen with her they gave me options and they stood by me as I said goodbye to my baby after 12 years I'm being in my family's life. They explained everything in detail and with compassion so that it wasn't more difficult for me to say goodbye to her.

I have a very old, frequently sick cat and after reading all the great reviews about this place I thought I'd give it a try. I wanted a second opinion after visiting another vet and Dr. Sickles was so comforting during the exam. She told me exactly what she saw, holding nothing back, and I appreciate that so much. It's hard to find a vet that you can trust and I never once doubted anything she said. She also didn't speak to me like I was an idiot. That's always a plus. The staff was so sweet and caring. And I was able to watch the live feed of their waiting room to make sure there were no dogs to freak out my already stressed cat.

I really can't think of anything bad to say. It was a real treat to find a vet I can trust and at such reasonable prices. I'm definitely coming back and recommending it to everyone I know.
