I've worked with several climbing coaches, guides, and instructors over the years and Jon Richard is the one that stands out the most. His demeanor while teaching is very professional, yet slightly laid-back. This makes his instruction feel like an interactive conversation as opposed to a stern lecture. He also majorly downplays his climbing abilities. I have yet to see anyone more graceful on the wall. After completing one of his courses or guided lessons, you come back a better and more confident climber.

He is highly qualified and has received AMGA certifications to back up his work. He's also a trainer for Warrior's Way. From single-pitch to mountains to canopies, from rock to tree, from guiding to instruction--Jon can take you where you want to be, safely and professionally.

Did a private canopy climb with my almost 13-year-old daughter today. Jon and Dave were great teachers! They made it interesting and fun. We covered the safety basics, learned how to install a line, practiced some knots and spent lots of time climbing. Looking forward to taking their Basic Tree Climbing Course next!
