Each gym has its own personal flair, but all gyms have friendly and helpful staff plus a great mix of bouldering, top rope, and sport climbing options. They also have regular clinics and events to help you improve your skills and connect with the climbing community.

This place is a great gym to go to when learning how to rock climb. It isn't intimidating and the employees and patrons are very nice.

I'm originally from Columbus Ohio and made a trip to San Diego California for spring break. As soon as I walked in the facility I was immediately greeted with a nice friendly hello. The staff were pros they guided me and instructed me on how to safely check my equipment. I also made a good conversation with the staff member. I highly recommend Vertical Hold Rock Climbing Gym!!!! Great place to have fun and just relax!!

Only been here once for a birthday party but my friend and then 6 yr old son seriously could not get enough, they had so much fun! My son got all the way to the top on his first time ever climbing!! Great place for kids, adults, and families who enjoy a challege/puzzles and also enjoy being active. Very, very cool place.

It's always a little awkward to try something new especially something you will likely fail at but the staff makes you feel right at home and there are multiple levels of climbing for beginners to the most advanced of climber, I recommend anyone who's ever thought about it to come give it a try!!
