  I've only had two interactions, on two separate occasions, with the Vermont Bicycle Shop. I visit Barre to see my sister who just bought a house there, and have brought my bike along to sample the hills nearby. Both visits to the VBC have been in times of (relatively) great need, though -- one a broken chain late on a Saturday afternoon that threatened a Sunday ride I'd been looking forward too; the other, when I got hit by a car on a Saturday afternoon in Barre and needed a quick once-over of my bike to see if it was ok and to get an estimate of damages. In both cases, Darren took it in stride, helped me out, and got me out the door. I'm really grateful to them.

  We love the Vermont Bicycle Shop! In June Jenn and I purchased 2 Orbea mountain bikes and could not be happier with our decision. Darrin is always patient and helps us out with any questions we have. Great service and we had a blast bikecamping!

  Great customer service! Darren helped me get a great pair of shoes for spinning class and was super helpful in fitting them and explaining how they should fit. I will definitely go back for all my bike needs.

  Darren is a former UCI level mechanic who worked with pro cyclists. He is definitely one of the best mechanics in Vermont hands down. True problem solver.

  Darren is a very knowledgeable about all things bikes. We' ve purchased a used bike from him, had our bikes tunes up and we've very happy with the experience. He stands behind his work and when things needed adjusted he takes care of it no questions asked. He's helped me get the bike out of my van and knew with one quick look what was wrong even before it was out of the car. I feel comfortable asking any questions and he is a great resource to help with decisions and guiding to make the right purchase. He's also got a great sense of humor. Highly recommended
