They currently deal with a lot of commuters and their bikes. They even run a bike parking and repair service for all those Amazon folks in downtown Seattle. However, they are also experts on road race , triathlon and cross as well. Over the years, Loyd (the owner) has helped me with everything from building up a tied and soldered rear wheel (early aluminum bikes were whippy) to updating my 1982 Raleigh frame with modern campy parts for tri's. Whenever I need some odd little part, he seems to be able to find one somewhere in his shop. He is even fairly good at talking me out of bad ideas. Velo is everything you could look for in a LBS.

There isn't enough stars to give Val at this bike shop. From the moment we walked in she was patient, kind and super informative. We've looked at a few shops before stopping here and we learned so much more than any other place we went. We took a few test rides and I'm sure asked the same question over and over....she was just the best! Go to this store!

This place is awesome! I've bought all my bikes and bike parts here, for the last 8+ years. Always super friendly and helpful. When my bike got stolen, they even helped write a replacement quote which made my insurance claim sail through quickly. Highly recommend!

Thank you for having the wheel I needed in stock and swapping out the cassette 10 minutes before closing time. I went to 3 shops looking for a standard 700c road bike wheel. I will be back.

Want to give a shout out to Velo Bike Shop for 2 reasons:
    1) I was shopping different bike shops for a new bike because my Bianchi didn't fit quite right. They were the only shop that that suggested trying new handlebars, stem, saddle, etc to get my existing bike to fit right instead of just trying to get me to buy a new bike.
    2) When I had them install a new handlebar and stem I asked for a full tune up. They looked my bike over and told me I didn't need a full tune, but did need brake pads and my wheels trued. I got my new parts installed with brake pads and wheels trued for about the price of a full tune from other shops.
They are a good honest shop, with the customers actual needs in mind. I am a customer for life now and I will buy my next bike from them! Go see them for all your bicycle needs.
