I'm not generally comfortable with any part of the beauty industry, but I'm very happy with the Castro Day Spa. I've been going there since 2001 and really like Sandra, who does very good work and treats me very well. She never pushes me to try services or products that I'm not interested in. We've been extremely pleased with the practice as a whole and with our pediatrician, Jessica Kaplan, who figured out that our baby's supposedly drastic weight loss was due to CPMC's mis-converting from grams to pounds and ounces. Phone calls get answered by a human being (although I'm sometimes asked to hold briefly), and emails and calls to the on-duty nurses, Judy and Charity (who is also a lactation consultant) get answered promptly. I have been able to get same- or next-day appointments when needed. They are willing to give vaccines to adults (although they do not bill the adult's insurance). read more

David did a stunning job refurbishing our wood deck. We'd had our deck cleaned and treated by someone else before, but it was nothing like the thorough job that David did, which made the deck look brand new, not decades old and neglected. He did little extras, such as power washing our stone patio and spraying the window to make my daughter laugh. He was highly recommended to us by Cole Hardware and a friend of ours. My 5yo daughter got her first professional haircut here, and we were both happy with the experience and the outcome. We've returned, with equally good results. My daughter gets a lot of compliments on her haircuts. We used two different stylists, whose names I don't remember. read more
