We finally got around to looking into repairing a leg on our vintage radio cabinet and from their previous professional attitude and service they were the first we called. We were not able to take the radio to them so they have a deli every service that picked up the cabinet and delivered it back. I was at a vendor fair in Sun City when I stopped by the Furniture Care of Texas FCOT display. I was impressed from the start when I saw pictures of some leather couch repairs that they had done. Since then I have had them repad, and fix the mechanism on a leather recliner. They added new cushions to my leather couch. I had wanted them to refinish the leather on my couch. Unfortunately, I had used a lot of leather conditioner in the past and their product would not adhere to my couch. I was a little disappointed that it would not work on my couch but was extremely appreciative that they were upfront about their concerns. They could have gone ahead and done the work and charged me for something that could have been a disaster. Instead they cleaned the couch and restuffed the cushions. It brought new life back to my 13 year old couch and it is so much more comfortable to sit in. They also reupholstered a chair and ottoman. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is impeccable. I am very impressed with their workmanship. The corners, folds and braiding are tight and precise. Last but not least I had them restore a squeaky 44 year old Ethan Allen cannonball bed frame and post. They replaced a lot of the hardware and refinished the wood. It looks beautiful and the frame is now strong, solid and squeak free. This company goes above and beyond in caring for their customers. They even loaned us a bed frame to use while the repairs were done on our old bed frame.

Furniture Care of Texas did a wonderful job. I had several pieces of furniture scratched, gouged and broken during a recent move. The damage was completely repaired and the color match to the original was perfect. They also did some smaller repairs at the house when they brought the other pieces back, including repairing scuff marks on my leather sofa. Everything looks like new. The guys who did the work were careful professional, and polite. The office kept me informed on the progress and everything was finished in a couple of weeks. Furniture Care of Texas did nothing less than amazing on the restoration of an unkempt, 100+ year old trunk, that had good structure but emaciated exterior, rusted metal, with deteriorated paper covering on the inside. What a wonderful surprise! I had a power recliner that suddenly stopped working and I was referred to Furniture Care of Texas by the retailer for repair. Rather than charge me for a diagnostic visit ($135), the owner walked me through several steps to check to see if the connections under the recliner were secure. They were not obvious fixes, especially for me, so his time was extremely important to diagnose the problem myself. He also told me what to do if I found any of several points of failure. No charge for any of this. John was very clear that he didn't want to waste a trip or a service charge for something that often is a simple fix. I recently had Furniture Care of Texas refinish my dining table after it had been damaged. They removed the finish off of the table and replaced it, on the table and additional leaves. They came to Waco and picked the table up, refinished it and returned in all in a timely fashion. The best part is that my table actually looked better than it had when I bought it new.
